About
In times of crisis, communities rely on each other, not governments or corporations, to survive and thrive. The Festival is a community offering “from us and by us,” designed to celebrate the abundance that emerges when we choose care, collaboration, and cooperation over competition.
The Festival of Abundance will cap off a month of May Day programming happening across the Triangle, bringing themes of:
- mutual aid
- solidarity
- direct action
- self-determination
together into one fun, educational, connective weekend. Attendees will shape the space as they inhabit it with skill-shares, free supplies, literature, public art, music, games, and collaborative activities. Part celebration, part convergence, this completely free, all-ages event invites attendees to experience and imagine a more hopeful, free, and just world, while connecting with community groups and passionate individuals working to make that world a present-day reality.
